LARGEST DAYTIME FIREWORKS DISPLAY
RICARDO CABALLER’S MASCLETÀ
Part of the International Fireworks Championship – Las Vegas Experience
THE STRIP @ LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY • FEBRUARY 21, 2026
WHAT IS A MASCLETÀ?
A mascletà [maskleˈta] is a traditional Spanish pyrotechnic experience that prioritizes thunderous sound and rhythm over visual effects. Originating in Valencia, Spain, this unique art form creates a progressive crescendo of explosions that builds to an earth-shaking finale.
Unlike typical fireworks that paint the sky with color, mascletàs are performed during daylight hours and measured by their acoustic intensity and rhythmic precision through a carefully choreographed sequence.
Ricardo Caballer’s Largest Daytime Fireworks Dispaly (mascletà) will bring this tradition rarely performed outside Spain to unprecedented heights.
This Mascletà Rises Above with Drones
The team at Pyrotecnico has teamed up with Ricardo Caballer to take this World Record Attempt to even bigger heights with an integrated element of drones.
That’s as much as we can give away for now, but hit play on their post to get a preview of what these drones can do.
MEET RICARDO CABALLER

Ricardo Caballer Cardo is the current manager of Ricardo Caballer–RICASA, a family legacy dating back to 1881 and one of the oldest names in pyrotechnics. Born into this prestigious tradition, Ricardo grew up immersed in the craft, working alongside his grandfather and father before formally joining the company at 18.
His vision transformed RICASA into a global powerhouse. In 1999, he became the first in Spain to use modern firing systems. Major milestones followed: the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the 2002 Madeira New Year’s celebration (then the world’s largest display), and victories at international competitions in Brno, Yokohama, and Montreal’s Golden Jupiter.
Under Ricardo’s leadership, RICASA expanded beyond displays to become one of the world’s largest pyrotechnic manufacturers, supplying major artists’ tours, theme parks, and global sporting events. His unwavering commitment to innovation, technical excellence, and Spanish craftsmanship has made RICASA synonymous with prestige worldwide.
Now, he brings his expertise to Las Vegas for an unprecedented challenge: creating the World’s Largest Daytime Fireworks Display, combining traditional Spanish craftsmanship with the spectacular scale that only Las Vegas can provide.
